DanielDust They are not pointless (online) and they do stop piracy (in a way-mostly online play) and even if you would pirate, it is pointless because you still won't be able to play it online. Well I have the gold edition and mine's on the manual:(. There are ways to crack it to play it online. But im not going to get into it. My point is it is so easy to just find and download a keygen that its completely pointless to even have them at all.

Ya get it on steam, ive been going that route lately just from the ease of it all. I like the whole CD-key concept its pretty much fool proof for online play blockage against people using cracked copies of games. The thing about a cdkey gen is that a majority dont actaully 'generate' unique keys but instead run through a preset list of about 100-200 thus resulting in all of them getting taken or banned already. I just hate it when a family member scraps the jewel case or game guide and thus loses my key.
