I already have a FAT PS2 (39001) with FMCB (via memory card) and 120GB HDD installed. I've already had some success with NES, SNES and PS1 games. Now, I want to load my PS2 games up to the HDD and play them that way. Should be a good bit faster that way, and I won't have to rely on the integrity of my game disc or the DVD drive. Anyway, I'm a bit confused on how to use. Whatever it is I need to use to do this.
I'm seeing stuff like ESR, OPL, HDLoader, WinHIIP, config files. I am quite confused at the moment!

ESR is for playing burned games without extra hardware, OPL is for playing games from alternative storage (USB device, SMB share or the HDD unit), HDLoader is a commercial game loader (which OPL is aiming replace), config files are to hold the settings for various programs (ideally, you wouldn't need to touch those on your own).
